When The Leaves Start To Fall, Use These Garden Products For Fast Pickup!

Posted by

In many parts of the country, fall is here. Sure, it’s doesn’t affect us nearly as much here in Florida as it does our friends in Minnesota or Nebraska, but when the leaves hit the ground it’s time to start doing something about them. Some of you compost them, others take them to the recycling center or put them in your city collection bins. No matter how you’re getting rid of them, they have to be collected first. Let’s take a look at some of the leaf-related garden products from Frostproof.

Leaf Scoops

Raking leaves into a pile is relatively easy, but getting them into the collection bag can be a pain...literally, if you’re not wearing gloves! Our hands are great tools, but they’re not designed for picking up a hundred leaves at once. These leaf scoops are an ingenious little invention that makes it easier than ever to get rid of your leaves. Simply put your hands through the handles, open up your arms, put them on either side of the leaves, and bring your hands together. The teeth ensure you’re getting as many leaves with each scoop as possible. You’ll be cleaning your yard faster than ever!

Not only that, but these scoops are also a great way for distributing peat moss or mulch over a chosen area. All that plus they hang on your wall to stay out of your way all winter!

Fiskars 30-Gallon Kangaroo Container

Could you use more room in your garage? Are you tired of tripping over stuff that you store at the side of your house? If so, you’ll love that this 30-gallon kangaroo container compresses to just 3.5 inches tall when not in use!

When you do open it up, you’ll be collecting leaves faster than ever. Maybe you’re filling it simply to dump it in the back of the truck, or maybe you’re lining it with lawn bags first. Either way, it makes leaf collection easier. This kangaroo container is UV and mildew resistant and has handles so that you can move it around the yard with ease.

Leaf Tarp

“I’ve got plastic tarps” you might say. “What makes this leaf tarp so special?” We’re here to tell you!

Plastic tarps have many disadvantages. First of all, they’re made of very thin plastic, meaning that a simple stick or a rub against concrete can tear them. Second, there’s no way to cinch a basic plastic tarp, meaning that you’ll be losing leaves all the way to the curb or truck.

With this leaf tarp, moving leaves around your property has never been easier. It measures 10 x 12’, large to enough to carry a large amount of leaves but easy enough for one or two people to handle. Because it’s made out of breathable polypropylene fabric, it’s resistant to rips and you won’t need to replace it anytime soon. Also, cinching is a breeze, as it comes with 12 clip-its and 50 feet of rope. It can also work as a covering tarp if your recycling center requires covered loads.

Rake

We were writing so much about getting rid of the leaves that we forgot to mention how you’ll be bringing them all together in the first place! This Corona 19-inch steel head leaf rake is designed to deliver even pressure across the entire rake head, so you can be sure to get those leaves from edge to edge. It’s non-slip grip makes it easier to use and is much nicer to your hands.

When the leaves start to fall, you know it’s time to contact Frostproof Garden Supply. We have the garden products and tools that will make raking easier than ever. Shop today!
