Product Overview
Maximize water resources and take the guesswork out of irrigation using the WaterMark Digital Soil Moisture Meter. Developed in 1978, the WaterMark Digital Soil Moisture Meter is a solid state, electrical resistance meter that provides accurate soil moisture readings from 0 to 200 centibars, ± 3%. This covers the entire spectrum of soil moisture readings in irrigated agriculture, including those for heavier clay soils. Unaffected by freezing temperatures, watermark sensors are designed for permanent installation and do not need to be removed during winter months. Sensors are buried at crop root depth in key locations and read 2- 3 times between irrigations using the handheld digital meter. These readings tell how fast a crop is extracting water and when there's a need to irrigate. They can also be used to record / chart readings or to control / interrupt irrigation cycles that aren't needed. They require no supplements or vacuum gauges and are virtually maintenance free. An internally installed gypsum block provides buffering for salinity normally found in agricultural crops and landscapes. Produce better quality yields, avoid fertilizer leaching, save water, save energy, save time, and save money, all with the WaterMark Digital Soil Moisture Meter. Made in the USA.
