Fruit Penetrometer for Harder Fruits

Designed to measure the maturity and ripeness, our Fruit Penetrometers for Harder Fruitsareused by growers worldwide to determine the best times for picking harder fruits, such as pears and apples. Simply press the plunger against the fruit to measure the rupture point on the pressure gauge. Then reference the included manual to compare readings and determine the best time for harvesting. Can be used hand held or mounted to a drill press for additional accuracy. Includes one 5/16" tip, a 7/16" tip, protective splash plate, fruit peeler, and foam lined carrying case. Made in Italy.
