Designed to increase accuracy by providing a stable platform for maturity / ripeness tests, the Fruit Penetrometer Stand features a hand crank rack and pinion elevation system traveling on two guide-posts with 3-Inches of clearance over a 6" x 10" test area. Hand held tests can vary as much as 3 to 4 pounds per lot of fruit. With the Fruit Penetrometer Stand, there's less than a 1lb margin of error. When it pays to know the difference, the Fruit Test Penetrometer Stand is worth the extra expense.
